My holiday Squishmallows list puts the 24-Day Micromallows Holiday Plush Advent Calendar first for its daily surprise format, while the Holiday 4-Pack stands out for gifting several characters together and the 14-inch Nick the Santa Claus for a larger seasonal plush. The right choice depends on whether you want a countdown, a ready-made group of small gifts, or one larger character to display and cuddle. Size, number of plushes, and how strongly the design suits a holiday display are the main tradeoffs. I ranked these picks by how well each serves a distinct holiday use, rather than treating every festive plush as interchangeable. Read on for the full breakdown and a guide to choosing the best fit.

Key Takeaways
- The advent calendar is the most activity-focused pick: its 24-day format makes it a stronger countdown gift than a single plush or multipack.
- Four-packs favor quantity and easy gifting: the standard Holiday 4-Pack and its smaller Amazon Exclusive version suit different preferences for plush size and presentation.
- Large character plushes serve a different purpose: Nick the Santa Claus and the Holiday Fox are better suited to a prominent cuddle or display piece than a collection of minis.
- Small seasonal designs can work well as accents: the Micromallows Bouquet and Holiday Wreath offer compact, decorative formats, but are less like a conventional single-character plush.
- The Harvest 4-Pack is the outlier: its fall-season theme may suit an autumn holiday collection, but shoppers seeking distinctly Christmas-themed characters may prefer the Christmas-focused options.

More Details on Our Top Picks
Squishmallows Original Holiday Micromallows Plush Bouquet
The bouquet format gives this set a different job from the larger cuddle-focused options: three detachable 2.5-inch Micromallows can be arranged for display, then taken out for small-scale play or collecting. Laurel the Christmas Tree, Zumir the Peppermint Moose, and Brooke the Polar Bear make the holiday theme clear, while the bouquet keeps the figures together when they are not in use. Compared with the Squishmallows Original Holiday 4-Pack, this pick offers one fewer character and much smaller plushes, but its presentation is more gift-ready and decorative. The tradeoff is scale: these figures suit shelf displays and little hands better than anyone looking for a substantial cuddle companion. Its three-character, holiday-only assortment also gives collectors less variety than a four-pack.
Pros:- Three named holiday characters provide a ready-made mini collection
- Detachable figures can be displayed separately or used for play
- Bouquet presentation makes the set feel gift-ready
- Compact 2.5-inch figures suit small displays and collecting
Cons:- Figures are too small for buyers seeking substantial cuddle plush
- Includes only three characters, fewer than the holiday four-packs
- The character selection is limited to a seasonal theme
Best for: Gift-givers seeking a compact holiday presentation with detachable figures for a child’s play or a collector’s seasonal display
Not ideal for: Shoppers who want larger plush for hugging, or collectors seeking a broad assortment of characters beyond the holiday theme
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Sub-brand:Micromallows
- Characters:Laurel the Christmas Tree, Zumir the Peppermint Moose, and Brooke the Polar Bear
- Figure size:2.5 inches each
- Included components:3 Holiday Micromallows plush figures and 1 bouquet
- Material:Polyester
- Recommended age:3 years and up
- Item dimensions:7.99 x 4.53 x 10 inches
Our verdict“Choose the Micromallows Bouquet for a compact, display-friendly gift with figures that can be separated for play.”
Squishmallows Original Holiday 4-Pack – Official Jazwares Plush
This four-pack is the straightforward choice for buyers who want several holiday Squishmallows in one gift: Maritza the Cactus, Stevon the Golden Retriever, Clayton the Blue Cow, and Tinsley the Peppermint Latte each bring a different character design. At 5 inches apiece, they are larger than the 2.5-inch figures in the Micromallows Plush Bouquet, making them more suited to holding and arranging together than tiny display pieces. The set also beats the single Fleur the Yule Log on character count, though Fleur’s 8-inch size is a better fit for someone who wants one more substantial plush. The main compromise is that this is a fixed assortment: buyers cannot choose individual characters, and the holiday styling may be less appealing outside the season.
Pros:- Four distinct named characters offer variety in one set
- Five-inch plushes are more substantial than the Micromallows Bouquet figures
- Soft material suits cuddling and everyday handling
- Character names and bios add a collectible element
Cons:- The fixed bundle does not allow individual character selection
- Five-inch size may be small for buyers seeking a larger cuddle plush
- Holiday-focused designs may see less use as seasonal decor comes down
Best for: Families or gift-givers who want four small, varied Squishmallows for a child or holiday exchange
Not ideal for: Buyers who prefer one larger plush, want to select characters individually, or need a set with year-round character themes
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Set name:Squishmallows Original Holiday 4-Pack
- Characters:Maritza, Stevon, Clayton, and Tinsley
- Included components:4 plush toys
- Plush size:5 inches each
- Manufacturer:Jazwares, LLC
- Recommended age:3 years and up
- Model number:SQXM01212
Our verdict“Pick this set if you want four varied, small holiday plushes rather than one larger character or miniature display figures.”
Squishmallows Amazon Exclusive Holiday Fox 14” Plush
For a holiday gift that feels like a single centerpiece rather than a bundle, this 14-inch fox offers a more substantial cuddle option than the 5-inch figures in either holiday four-pack. Its ultrasoft polyester and named character with a bio suit buyers who want one recognizable plush to hug, gift, or add to a larger collection. It also stands apart from the 14in Nick the Santa Claus Plush in the broader list by using a fox design rather than a Santa character, which may appeal to shoppers seeking seasonal styling without the classic costume look. The size is the main tradeoff: it takes up more room and is less convenient for small children to carry than Fleur the Yule Log at 8 inches. The holiday-specific design also makes it less neutral as year-round decor.
Pros:- Fourteen-inch size gives it more presence than the small holiday multipacks
- Ultrasoft polyester is suited to cuddling
- Fox character offers a different look from traditional Santa-themed plush
- Named character and bio add collectible appeal
Cons:- Single-character format offers less variety than either four-pack
- Larger size is less convenient for small children to carry
- Seasonal design may be less fitting as year-round decor
Best for: Families and gift-givers looking for one larger, soft holiday character for cuddling or a prominent seasonal display
Not ideal for: Buyers who need a compact travel plush, want several characters in one gift, or have limited storage space
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Character:Holiday Fox
- Size:14 inches
- Included components:1 plush
- Material:Polyester
- Recommended age:3 years and up
- Model number:SQCR09328
- Item dimensions:7.87 x 11 x 14 inches
Our verdict“Choose the 14-inch fox when a larger, single-character cuddle plush matters more than compact size or a multi-character set.”
Squishmallows Original 8in Fleur the Yule Log with Holly – Holiday Plush
Fleur is the most decor-forward single plush in this group: the 8-inch yule log design with holly reads as holiday styling even when tucked onto a shelf or sofa. That gives it a clear advantage over the character-shaped 14-inch Holiday Fox for buyers with limited display space, while its one-piece format is simpler than the detachable figures in the Micromallows Plush Bouquet. At 8 inches, Fleur still works as a small cuddle companion, but the log shape and compact scale make it less of a lap-sized plush than the fox. It is also a single-character purchase, so anyone building a group of holiday Squishmallows will get more variety from either four-pack. The soft polyester and named character bio support collecting, but the seasonal design narrows its use as everyday decor.
Pros:- Yule log and holly design makes its seasonal role immediately clear
- Eight-inch size is easier to display than the 14-inch Holiday Fox
- Soft polyester suits both cuddling and shelf display
- Named character and bio add collectible interest
Cons:- Single plush provides less character variety than either holiday four-pack
- Smaller size may disappoint buyers wanting a larger cuddle companion
- Strong holiday styling may limit year-round display use
Best for: Holiday decorators and collectors who want one compact, recognizable seasonal plush that can also be cuddled
Not ideal for: Shoppers seeking a large cuddle companion or multiple characters in one purchase
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Character:Fleur the Yule Log with Holly
- Size:8 inches
- Unit count:1
- Material:Polyester
- Recommended age:3 years and up
- Item weight:0.18 kg
- Item dimensions:7 x 5 x 8.5 inches
Our verdict“Choose Fleur for a compact holiday display piece that remains soft and cuddly, not for a large or multi-character gift.”
Squishmallows Original Holiday 4-Pack – Official Jazwares Plush (Little) – Amazon Exclusive
This Little four-pack leans into varied seasonal motifs rather than a single visual theme: Ingred the Purple Cow, Omar the Bear in a Santa Costume, Marilyn the Green Pickle Ornament, and Luna the Penguin with String Lights give the set a playful mix of characters and holiday details. Like the other Squishmallows Original Holiday 4-Pack, it supplies four 5-inch plushes, so it offers more character variety than the single Fleur the Yule Log while taking up less space than the 14-inch Holiday Fox. Its appeal is strongest as a multi-character gift or a small collection starter. The tradeoff is the fixed set: buyers cannot pick only their preferred designs, and the distinctive ornament and costume details make these plushes particularly seasonal. It is a weaker match for anyone seeking one larger everyday cuddle companion.
Pros:- Four characters provide more variety than a single-plush purchase
- Distinctive costume, ornament, and string-light details give the set a playful holiday look
- Five-inch size is compact for gifting and display
- Named characters and bios support collecting
Cons:- Only available as a fixed four-character set
- Five-inch plushes are small for buyers seeking a larger cuddle companion
- Strong holiday motifs may be less useful as year-round decor
Best for: Gift-givers who want four small plushes with varied, humorous holiday designs for a child or collector
Not ideal for: Shoppers who want to choose characters individually, prefer understated year-round designs, or need one large plush
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Set name:Original Holiday 4-Pack
- Model number:SQXM01652
- Characters:Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna
- Included components:Four Squishmallows
- Plush size:5 inches each
- Age range:Toddler and up
- Manufacturer:Jazwares, LLC
Our verdict“Choose this set for four compact plushes with varied holiday motifs, rather than a single larger or less seasonal character.”
Squishmallows 24-Day Micromallows Holiday Plush Advent Calendar
For a holiday list built around the days before the celebration, this calendar offers the most structured surprise: 24 Micromallows, each about 2.5 inches, in festive styles that include familiar characters such as Benny the Bigfoot and Cam the Cat. The daily reveal suits children or collectors who enjoy a small ritual more than receiving one larger plush at once. Compared with the Micromallows Holiday Wreath 4-Pack, it brings more characters and a countdown format, but takes up more space and gives less choice about which figures are included. The tiny size makes the set easy to display or tuck into seasonal décor, though it limits cuddle appeal. I’d choose it for the reveal experience, not as a substitute for a full-size holiday companion.
Pros:- Includes 24 tiny plush characters for a day-by-day holiday countdown.
- Features recognizable Squishmallows characters in festive styles.
- Compact 2.5-inch figures are easy to display or add to a collection.
- The calendar format creates a gift experience beyond the plushes themselves.
Cons:- The 2.5-inch figures are too small for satisfying cuddling.
- The fixed assortment offers less character choice than buying individual plushes.
- A large set of tiny figures may be less appealing to collectors who prioritize plush size or durability.
Best for: Families or collectors who want a daily holiday reveal and enjoy displaying tiny character plushes.
Not ideal for: Shoppers seeking one substantial plush for cuddling, or collectors who prefer choosing a few larger characters over a fixed assortment.
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Sub-brand:Micromallows
- Toy type:Stuffed toy
- Included items:24 Micromallows
- Figure size:2.5 inches
- Material:Polyester
- Age range:3 years and up
- Calendar dimensions:15 x 5 x 11 inches
Our verdict“Choose this calendar for a festive daily reveal and a large collection of miniature characters, rather than for a cuddly centerpiece.”
Squishmallows Original 4-Pack Micromallows Holiday Wreath
This four-piece set is a focused pick for decorating a seasonal display without adding a collection of larger plushes. Gina the Gingerbread and Omri the Ornament are among the holiday characters, each in a 2.5-inch format suited to a wreath, shelf, or desk. Compared with the 24-Day Micromallows Holiday Plush Advent Calendar, the wreath set is simpler and more compact, but gives you four figures rather than a daily sequence of 24. Its appeal rests on display and collecting, not cuddling: the small size is easy to arrange but may feel underwhelming to a child wanting a plush to hold. I’d pick this over the calendar when a modest holiday accent is the goal; the calendar makes more sense when the countdown itself matters.
Pros:- Four holiday-themed characters provide a coordinated mini collection.
- The 2.5-inch size fits small displays and wreaths.
- Polyester plush construction gives the figures a soft feel.
- Compact set is easier to place than larger character plushes.
Cons:- Miniature figures offer little cuddle value.
- Four characters provide less variety than the 24-piece Advent Calendar.
- The set is primarily suited to display, which narrows its appeal as a play plush.
Best for: Collectors and decorators who want a few miniature holiday characters for a wreath, shelf, or compact seasonal display.
Not ideal for: Children looking for a plush to cuddle or buyers who want a larger assortment and a daily countdown.
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Model number:SQMM0265
- Character count:4
- Figure size:2.5 inches
- Material:Polyester
- Age range:3 years and up
- Product dimensions:9.5 x 3.75 x 11.5 inches
- Manufacturer:Jazwares, LLC
Our verdict“Choose the Holiday Wreath set for a compact seasonal display; pick the Advent Calendar instead if you want more figures and a countdown.”
Squishmallows 14in Nick the Santa Claus Plush
Nick is the clearest choice here for shoppers who want a single, substantial holiday character rather than a group of miniatures. At 14 inches, he offers more presence for cuddling or seasonal display than the 12-inch Hedda the Milk for Santa Plush, while his red Hawaiian shirt gives the Santa design a less traditional look. That playful outfit makes him a character-led gift, though it may not suit someone who wants classic Santa styling. Unlike the Micromallows Holiday Wreath 4-Pack, Nick is sized for holding, not arranging among small decorations. The tradeoff is a narrower theme: this is one Santa character, so it will not offer the variety or collect-and-display options of a multi-pack. I’d choose him when size and a distinctive Santa look matter more than assortment.
Pros:- 14-inch size gives the plush more cuddle and display presence than the miniature sets.
- Nick’s red Hawaiian shirt gives the Santa character a distinctive look.
- Soft plush construction suits hugging and relaxed play.
- Character name and bio add a collectible element.
Cons:- The single-character format offers less variety than the four- and 24-piece sets.
- The Hawaiian shirt styling may not fit shoppers seeking a traditional Santa design.
- Its holiday-specific character theme may see less use outside the season.
Best for: Squishmallows fans seeking one larger Santa-themed plush for cuddling, gifting, or a holiday display.
Not ideal for: Buyers who want several characters in one set or prefer traditional Santa clothing over a red Hawaiian shirt.
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Character:Nick the Santa Claus
- Size:14 inches
- Material:Ultrasoft, high-quality material
- Design detail:Red Hawaiian shirt
- Character feature:Name and bio included
Our verdict“Pick Nick for a larger, playful Santa plush, but choose a multi-pack if character variety is your priority.”
Squishmallows Original Harvest 4-Pack – Official Jazwares Plush (Amazon Exclusive)
This four-character set brings a harvest-season angle to a holiday list, with Ulana the Turkey, River the Blue Beaver, Rhett the Black French Bulldog, and Alberta the Maple Latte. The mix makes it a broader seasonal bundle than the Santa-specific Nick the Santa Claus Plush, and the individual bios add personality for imaginative play. Its harvest theme can carry through autumn gatherings and into a broader winter display, but it is less explicitly Christmas-focused than Nick or Hedda the Milk for Santa. The set’s four characters offer more variety than buying a single plush, while the available details do not specify their sizes, so buyers seeking a clearly large cuddle plush may prefer Nick’s stated 14-inch size. I’d choose this for seasonal variety over a distinctly Santa-centered gift.
Pros:- Includes four named characters with distinct personalities.
- The harvest theme offers seasonal variety beyond Santa-focused designs.
- Soft plush material is suited to cuddling and imaginative play.
- Individual bios give children character details to build play around.
Cons:- Harvest styling is less directly Christmas-themed than Nick or Hedda.
- The provided product details do not specify individual plush sizes.
- Amazon-exclusive availability limits where the set can be purchased.
Best for: Families and collectors who want several character plushes with an autumn harvest theme that can extend into seasonal displays.
Not ideal for: Shoppers focused on unmistakably Christmas-themed characters or who need a confirmed large plush size before buying.
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Collection:Original Harvest
- Character count:4 plush characters
- Characters:Ulana, River, Rhett, and Alberta
- Material:Ultrasoft plush
- Availability:Amazon exclusive
- Manufacturer:Jazwares
Our verdict“Choose this four-pack for harvest-season character variety, but opt for Nick or Hedda if a specifically Christmas-themed plush is the priority.”
Squishmallows 12in Hedda the Milk for Santa Plush
Hedda’s milk-for-Santa theme gives this 12-inch plush a specific Christmas story, making it a more overtly seasonal pick than the broader Harvest 4-Pack. The size sits between the mini Holiday Wreath Micromallows and the 14-inch Nick the Santa Claus Plush: large enough to cuddle or display, but not as prominent as Nick. That middle ground suits someone who wants a single character with a clear holiday motif without choosing a Santa figure. The polyester plush and character bio support both gifting and collecting, though the one-character format means no assortment, and the theme may feel less relevant outside the season. I’d choose Hedda for a Christmas-specific companion; buyers who want more display impact should compare her with Nick, while collectors wanting several figures should look to a set.
Pros:- 12-inch size balances cuddling and display without the scale of a larger plush.
- Milk-for-Santa theme gives the character a clear Christmas connection.
- Character name and bio add collectible personality.
- Polyester plush construction is suited to a soft companion.
Cons:- One plush provides less character variety than the Micromallows sets or Harvest 4-Pack.
- At 12 inches, it is smaller than Nick’s 14-inch plush.
- The specific Christmas theme may feel less versatile outside the holiday season.
Best for: Gift buyers seeking a medium-size Christmas plush with a festive milk-for-Santa theme and character bio.
Not ideal for: Collectors who want multiple characters, shoppers seeking a larger centerpiece, or buyers looking for a plush with year-round styling.
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Character:Hedda
- Theme:Milk for Santa
- Size:12 inches
- Material:Polyester
- Weight:0.52 kg
- Age range:3 years and up
- Model number:SQXM01217
Our verdict“Choose Hedda for a medium-size, Christmas-specific character plush; choose Nick for more size or a multi-pack for more variety.”
How We Picked
I compared these ten products by holiday relevance, format, and intended use: a countdown calendar, multi-character packs, compact decorative pieces, and larger individual plushes solve different gifting needs. I also considered how clearly each item fits a seasonal display, whether its format makes it easy to give as one gift or split among recipients, and how its size may affect carrying, storing, and cuddling.
The ranking gives the top spot to the option with the clearest built-in holiday activity, then places versatile multipacks and standout individual plushes ahead of more specialized or less Christmas-specific choices. A product can be a good fit without ranking higher if it serves a narrower purpose. Since the list includes different sizes and formats, I compare each pick against its closest alternatives rather than treating pack count alone as a measure of value.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Squishmallows Holiday List
Before choosing from this holiday Squishmallows list, decide how the plush will be used: as a countdown, a wrapped gift, a room decoration, or a new addition to a collection. That decision can matter more than character preference because a calendar, a four-pack, and a larger single plush offer very different experiences.
Choose Between a Countdown and a Ready-to-Give Plush
An advent calendar makes the gift unfold over time, which can be part of the appeal for someone who enjoys a daily seasonal ritual. A single plush is simpler to wrap and enjoy right away, while a multipack can serve as one group gift or several smaller presents. Avoid buying a calendar only because it has many pieces if the recipient would rather have one character to keep close. Also check when the countdown begins and whether the recipient will be around to open it during that period. Match the format to the occasion, not just the number of items included.
Think About Scale Before Choosing a Display Piece
Large plushes can anchor a bed, chair, or holiday display, but they take up more room when the season ends. Micromallows and smaller plushes are easier to arrange on shelves, add to a collection, or carry between home and travel. A common mismatch is choosing a large character for someone with limited display space or a tiny format for someone expecting a substantial cuddle companion. Consider where the plush will live after the holidays, not only how it looks in a seasonal setup. If space is uncertain, a compact option is generally easier to accommodate.
Read Multipack Choices as a Sharing Decision
A four-pack can feel especially useful when several people are receiving gifts, but the characters and sizes may not suit every recipient equally. Check whether the group is intended to stay together as a collection or be divided into separate presents. Smaller multipacks can be easier to split and distribute, while larger plushes may make a stronger single gift. Do not assume a pack is the right choice just because it contains more characters; a recipient who has a favorite may prefer one carefully chosen plush. Think through who will receive each piece before selecting a group set.
Match the Theme to the Holiday You Are Marking
Holiday-themed designs range from Santa and Christmas motifs to seasonal harvest characters and decorative arrangements. A distinctly Christmas design may suit a December gift exchange, while a harvest-themed set can fit autumn celebrations or a broader seasonal collection. Buyers sometimes treat every seasonal item as interchangeable, then find that the design does not match the recipient’s holiday traditions or decorating style. If the plush will be displayed alongside other decorations, consider color and theme as well as character. Choose the design for the recipient’s calendar and tastes, not merely the word holiday.
Set Expectations About What the Format Includes
A bouquet or wreath format has a more decorative presentation than a standard individual plush, while a calendar emphasizes repeated openings and a multipack emphasizes variety. Those formats may be less suitable for someone seeking one traditional, easy-to-cuddle character. Before buying, check the current listing for the contents, size details, and any packaging information, since listings can vary by edition or seller. Pay attention to whether the item is presented as a set or as a single plush with a themed design. Clear expectations help prevent a surprise when the gift is opened.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which holiday Squishmallow format works best as a gift for a child?
Choose based on how the child likes to play and receive gifts. The advent calendar suits someone who enjoys opening a small surprise each day, while a single character is easier to enjoy immediately. A multipack can work well for siblings or for a child who likes collecting several characters. Check the product listing for age guidance and the included contents before ordering. If the gift date falls after the countdown period, a calendar may lose some of its appeal compared with a plush or pack.
Should I pick the Holiday 4-Pack or the smaller Amazon Exclusive version?
The main decision is the size and presentation you want, rather than the shared four-character format alone. A larger pack may suit a gift meant to feel like a substantial set, while the smaller version can be easier to divide, store, or add to an existing collection. Check the current listings for exact dimensions and included characters, since product names and editions can be easy to confuse. If the set will be split among recipients, consider whether each character will still feel like a complete gift on its own. Choose the one that fits the recipient’s space and gifting plan.
Is the advent calendar a better choice than buying one large plush?
It is better for a recipient who enjoys a seasonal countdown and several small reveals; it is not automatically a better choice for everyone. A large plush such as Nick the Santa Claus may be more satisfying for someone who wants one prominent character to cuddle or display. Consider when the gift will be opened, since a calendar has more appeal when it can be used during the holiday countdown. A single plush is also easier to keep as a year-round favorite if the recipient does not want seasonal activities. Choose the experience the recipient will enjoy, not just the larger number of pieces.
Can the Harvest 4-Pack fit a Christmas-themed collection?
It can fit a collection that includes fall and broader seasonal designs, but its harvest theme is less directly tied to Christmas than Santa or other explicitly Christmas-focused options in this list. Think about whether the recipient collects Squishmallows by character, season, or holiday. For a display that stays up through autumn, the pack may add variety; for a tightly coordinated Christmas setup, a Christmas-themed plush is a closer match. If you are unsure about the recipient’s collection style, check what themes they already display. The difference is mainly seasonal fit, not whether one format is inherently more useful.
What should I check before ordering a Micromallows bouquet or wreath?
Confirm the dimensions, included pieces, and how the item is presented in the current listing. A bouquet or wreath is designed around a decorative format, so it may not match expectations for a standard single-character plush. Consider where it will be displayed and whether the recipient prefers compact seasonal accents or plushes intended for everyday cuddling. Also check the listing’s product images and details to distinguish the specific edition from similarly named Micromallows sets. These checks help you choose a display-friendly gift with the right size and contents.
Conclusion
For the clearest all-around holiday experience, I recommend the 24-Day Micromallows Holiday Plush Advent Calendar as best overall, especially for someone who will enjoy a seasonal countdown. The Holiday 4-Pack is my best value-style choice for buyers who want several characters in one gift, while the 14-inch Nick the Santa Claus is the best premium-style pick for a larger, centerpiece plush. For beginners or a first Squishmallows gift, I would choose a straightforward individual character such as the Holiday Fox rather than a themed arrangement. For compact decorating, the Micromallows Bouquet or Holiday Wreath makes more sense; for an autumn-focused collector, choose the Harvest 4-Pack. Pick by the recipient’s preferred size and holiday use, and the format will matter as much as the character.
